Every person and mammal has an endocannabinoid system (ECS)
Discovered in 1992, the endocannabinoid system works to maintain homeostasis within the body. Our bodies contain millions of cannabinoid receptors. When this system gets disrupted, a persons body may fall out of balance. An endocannabinoid deficiency could be a contributing factor to ailments such as fibromyalgia, IBS, and migraines. This is BIG news if you suffer from any of these.
Every person has a different chemical makeup and what works for me may not work for you.
The cannabinoids within the cannabis plant fit to these receptors in our endocannabinoid system like unique puzzle pieces. There are over 100 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant! And more are being discovered as research continues.
The most common ones are THC and CBD, but there are a few that are gaining popularity: CBN, CBG, THCa, CBDa, and THCv to name a few. Each cannabinoid brings its own profile and effects.
I mentioned every mammal has an endocannabinoid system, and that means your furry friend!! Marys Medicinals has a CBD pet transdermal product to rub on their ear to help with anxiety and pain.
